PCF has recently been criticized for the use of the term "environmental additionality" in its official submissions to the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Attached herewith is a description of the context in history and in UNFCCC official documents in which the PCF has used this term. PCF recognizes and accepts that this term is not found in official documents of the UNFCCC and no longer intends to use the term in its submissions to the CDM Executive Board.
