Title: Canada's National Workshop on CDM and JI - January 7 Presentation
Summary: On January 7, PCF Fund Manager, Ken Newcombe, made a presentation in Ottawa at the "National CDM/JI workshop", which was hosted by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) to brief stakeholders on the results of CoP 7 at Marrakech and the status of the CDM/ JI. Ken's presentation provided an update of the PCF portfolio, discussed various carbon purchase agreements that are under consideration, and highlighted PCF's lessons learned and insights regarding the carbon market. As well, Ken provided information on the impact that carbon finance can make in various project types, and described the Bank's response to the emerging carbon market.
