04.24.2006 Workshop on Community Driven Development (CDD) and CDCF, 19 April 2006
The objective of this workshop was to explore the synergy between Community Driven Development and carbon finance and share views on how carbon finance can contribute to CDD operations and vice-versa. An open discussion followed on issues such as how carbon finance can catalyze or expand investment in CDD activities, which carbon finance activities (e.g. waste, water, biogas, solar heating) are most suitable to be included as components of CDD activities, and what are some of the obstacles and challenges to including carbon finance into CDD activities.
