Moscow GHG Market Forum - 2006

On April 3-4, a Greenhouse Gas Forum was held in Moscow, Russia, which was organized jointly with the International Emissions Trading Association, Eurelectric, the CIS Electric Power Council, and the World Bank Carbon Finance Unit. The event, which was attended by more than 250 participants, was the largest ever on carbon finance in Russia. At that event, Deputy Minister from the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade indicated that Russia would be ready for "Kyoto Rules" by July 2006. It was the first time that a representative of the Russian Government made such a statement.
