Major BioCarbon Fund Meetings in Washington - Week of February 24, 2003February 24 - Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of the BioCarbon Fund met in Washington on February 24th. The TAG provided advice to the Carbon Finance Unit on issues such as selection criteria for projects and the balance of asset types and their geographical distribution across the entire portfolio of projects. Cost effective identification and delivery of environmental and livelihood outcomes was another topic of discussion. The TAG was chaired by Ian Noble of the World Bank Carbon Finance Unit and has 10 members from nine countries including five developing countries. Members came from the private sector, universities, international agencies and NGOs. February 25-26, 2003 - MoU Signatories Meeting This formal meeting of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signatories of the BioCarbon Fund reviewed the design of the Fund. This included details on the principal terms, project and portfolio criteria, and the operation of the Fund.
