First LULUCF Methodology Recommended for Approval

The BioCarbon Fund China Watershed Management in Pearl River Basin project is likely to carry the first approved methodology for baseline and monitoring of an afforestation/reforestation project. The A/R Working Group has just recommended to the CDM Executive Board to approve this methodology (link to report below). The Executive Board is meeting at the end of this month and we hope the recommendation will be adopted. This will be an important milestone in the development of the market for forest carbon credits.
